Celebrating Life Through Music

Classical pianist and composer Eric Genuis along with an ensemble of world-class musicians will be performing a special concert this month in Thibodaux. This concert, titled Celebrating Life, was created in celebration of January being noted as Sanctity of Life Month. The concert will be held at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, in Thibodaux, on January 25 at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the concert will support Crossroads Pregnancy Center in Thibodaux and A Woman’s Choice Pregnancy Center in Houma. These two agencies combined have compassionately served over 1000 families in the Bayou Region by providing physical and emotional support needed to choose life for their babies.

Eric Genuis began his career in Poland in 1997. A composer, virtuoso pianist and performer, he was invited by a government dignitary to headline a performance for an AIDS benefit concert. Since then Genuis’ career has included performances at many benefit concerts and charity events. He is currently collaborating with music greats to produce music that entertains both classical and contemporary music lovers.

Crossroads Pregnancy Resource Center is a Christian organization that promotes the sanctity of life by providing caring services to pregnant women in crisis within our area. Their staff provides education, guidance and spiritual support especially to those considering abortion or other alternatives in a spirit of compassion, love and grace.

Crossroads is an independent non-profit corporation. Funding comes from individual and corporate donations, legacies and bequests as well as grants and fundraising activities. Crossroads Pregnancy Resource Center can be reached at 985-446-5004.

As a result of this fundraising event at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral, Genuis will spread his pro-life message through multiple concerts at local schools including E.D. White Catholic High School, Vandebilt Catholic High School, St. Joseph Elementary, St. Genevieve Elementary and St. Bernadette Elementary.
