In 1989, a small car stereo store opened on Hollywood Road. Their goal was to specialize in smaller name brands and the best customer service in town.
Now in business for over 20 years, Sams Audio has come a long way from the small name brands of their first location. They are the proud dealer of larger, more promenade brands such as Rockford, Fosgate and JL Audio and in addition to car stereos, they offer residential and commercial security systems and complete home theater systems.
Owner Sam Lusco takes pride in keeping up with new technology while staying focused on the customer. “We match the customer with the product.
We have had some of the same customers since I first opened my doors,” said Lusco. “It’s something, to be able to help multiple generations. It says a lot for the way we do business.” Sams Audio has even been selected and honored as one of the top 100 installers in the United States.
Sams Audio is on the forefront of new technology and remains committed to providing every customer with the product and service they need. “Technology is getting smarter. It just means we have to be smarter,” Lusco explains, “Vehicles are now coming from the factory with all sorts of bells and whistles. Sams Audio ensures that your car stereo works for you.” Their trained professionals can even complete installation while you wait. “The technology in hand-held music devices like iPods and iPhones stays one step ahead of what the vehicle manufactures can handle. We can make sure that you can listen to and charge your device.”
Sams also has the technology, the products, and the installation crew that allows you to bring the movie theater experience right into your living room. No more going stand in line to see movies. Host your own parties for your family and friends. “My customer comes in looking for fun and entertainment. We are the one-stop-shop for all of that,” Lusco proudly states.
In addition, they offer some of the newest technology when it comes to home security. “We do full home surveillance and security. If the alarm is triggered, we can have all the lights in the home turn on. It startles the intruder and allows full light to hit his face, giving the security cameras a better picture for the police.”
Until recently Sams Audio had been located inside Accessory World on Martin Luther King Blvd., but opening their doors the in the heart of Houma, on West Park Avenue, has allowed them to remain focused on their top priority, their customers. Lusco explained, “I wanted to get back to where it all started. Being able to greet our customers, ensure them personalized service...Those are the things that are important.”
